Peyton Bowen scored three touchdowns as the Crownover eighth-grade “A” team remained unbeaten with a 44-0 victory over the Navo Panthers on Tuesday night.
Bowen had TD runs of 15 and 22 yards and caught a 6-yard touchdown pass from Blake Courtney, who also hit Jadyn Fritsch with a 25-yard scoring toss.
Sutton Lee caught a 56-yard touchdown pass from Brad Pruett, and Isaiah Pride scored on an 11-yard run. Ivan Pena hit three 2-point kicks, and Lee passed to Jordan McGee and Fritsch for 1-point conversions.
On defense, McGee and Lee had interceptions, Pierson Adam, Bryson Riggs and Tim Cardona had fumble recoveries and Caleb Cowan and Si Stovall had sacks to lead the Cowboys.
Navo (3-2) was led on defense by Damajal Brown with six tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble, while Marc Ibarra had seven tackles, two for losses.
Panther quarterback Wyatt Smith was 10-of-16 passing for 88 yards.
Crownover ‘B’ 22, Navo 14
Jack Bradley scored on a pair of long touchdown runs and kicked two extra points as Crownover defeated Navo.
Bradley had touchdown runs of 70 and 50 yards and Tad Tamplen scored on a 30-yard run as the Cowboys improved to 3-1.
Navo (2-2) got scoring from Carson James on a 2-yard run with Mathew Rodas adding the 2-point kick, and Tai Nash had an 80-yard TD run.
Elijah Brunner led the Panther defense with seven tackles, two sacks and a fumble recovery. James Burrows had six tackles and three sacks.
Myers ‘A’ 36, McMath 0
Quarterback Khalon Davis accounted for three touchdowns as the Myers Titans remained unbeaten at 5-0 with a victory over the McMath Tigers.
Davis scored on a 20-yard run and had a 35-yard scoring pass to Jaavonne Jones and a 27-yard pass to Braeden Dozier. Jordyn Bailey had an 8-yard scoring run, and Avery Brazzell dashed 15 yards for a touchdown.
Leading McMath (0-4-1) were Jonathan Weaver with three tackles, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery, Tristian Strange with four tackles, Coco Brown’s two tackles and Miles Meador with a fumble recovery.
Crownover ‘A’ 31, Navo 6
Eli Bowen scored three touchdowns to lead the Crownover Cowboys to victory over the Navo Panthers.
Bowen scored on runs of 2 and 12 yards and caught a 12-yard pass from Pierson Rougeau for his third TD. Trey Joyner had a 10-yard TD run and Sam George scored on a 22-yard run to complete the scoring for the Cowboys (4-1).
Pelumi Olanipekun led the Crownover defense with three sacks, Andrew Doty had one sack and Braxton Haffa forced a fumble and had a fumble recovery.
The Panthers’ score came on a 34-yard run by quarterback Keagan Daily. Reymundo Izaguirre had 55 yards rushing on eight carries.
Navo (1-4) was led on defense by linebacker Maurice Bryant with five tackles, two pass deflections and one forced fumble and Iyiolaoluwa Solomi with six tackles, including three for losses.
Navo ‘B’ 6, Crownover 0
Quarterback Nicholas Johnson dashed 18 yards for a touchdown as the Navo Panthers evened their record at 2-2 with a win over Crownover.
Linebacker Jordan Craddick led the Panthers defense with four tackles, two tipped passes and a fumble recovery.
McMath ‘A’ 13, Myers 12
The McMath Tigers picked up their first win with a one-point victory over the Myers Titans.
The Tigers (1-4) scored on a 25-yard run by Trey Bates and Michael Pena’s 15-yard fumble return. Milford Kamara led the offensive attack with 140 yards rushing and forced a fumble on defense. Jose Troncoso had a sack, forced a fumble and made three tackles, and Jason Neal had an interception.
Myers (1-4) got its touchdowns on an 8-yard run by Elijah Wallace and a 50-yard pass from Jack Plunk to Landon Parsons.
McMath ‘B’ 24, Myers 7
Aiden Anderson scored four touchdowns and rushed for 280 yards to lead McMath to victory over Myers.
Anderson had scoring runs of 40, 55, 35 and 80 yards. Aidmar Cruz led the McMath defense with four tackles and one sack.
Gavin McKnight scored for Myers (1-4) on a 35-yard run, and Camden Cunningham passed to Brady Newquist for the conversion.
Harpool ‘A’ 40, Rodriguez 0
Quarterback Max Hornsby passed for one touchdown and ran for another and Kegan Stelmazewski ran for two TDs as the Harpool Longhorns remained unbeaten with a shutout of the Rodriguez Vipers.
Hornsby passed 12 yards to Austin Correia for one score and ran 32 yards for a TD. Stelmazewski had scoring runs of 10 and 5 yards and finished the night with 72 yards rushing on five carries.
Caleb Rowe had a 17-yard TD run, Austin Wren scored on a 7-yard run and Blake Smejkal hit two extra points to complete the scoring.
Defensively, Jeff Boling had one interception and Rowe recovered two fumbles for the 5-0 Longhorns.
Harpool ‘B’ 35, Rodriguez 0
Garrett Kraushaar had two touchdown runs, Kyle Nichols and Corbin Mobley had one apiece and Brady Gilbert caught a scoring pass from Anthony Skitt as Harpool (5-0) blanked Rodriguez.
