The Harpool Lady Longhorns eighth-grade “A” team used a strong second half Thursday night to break open a tight game and defeat Little Elm 29-23 to stay unbeaten at 12-0 overall and 6-0 in district play.

Tied 11-all at halftime, Harpool outscored Little Elm 18-12 in the second half.

Ashlin Crabtree had 13 points for the Lady Horns, including four 3-pointers. Raina Akbar had nine points and Natalie Mays had four steals.

In the B-team game, Harpool (6-0) outscored Little Elm 31-2 in the second half for a 50-8 win. Alondra Bonilla led the Lady Longhorns with 13 points, Abby Lobello had 10, Carys Stephenson added nine and Lilly Marker eight.

Harpool (3-0) won the C-team game 18-10. Mercy Weimer led Harpool with six points, and Jade Bello and Brandy DeLeon had four apiece.

Navo boys d. McMath

The Navo Panthers built an early lead and cruised to a 45-21 victory over the McMath Tigers.

Navo’s Dylan Burnham led all scorers with 17 points, while Elijah Scruggs had seven points and six steals and Damajai Brown also had seven points. Josh Jackson led Navo (7-3) with eight rebounds.

Crownover boys d. Strickland

The Crownover Cowboys outscored Strickland 43-17 over the final three quarters to pull away for a 50-21 victory and improve to 14-2.

Lane Allen led the Crownover scorers with 15, and Ivan Pena and Brendan Bradshaw each had 10 points.

Brad Pruett scored 12 points and Caleb Cowan added 11 as Crownover (12-1) won the B-team game 53-16.

In the C-team game, Crownover (6-0) was a 46-9 winner, as Jordan McGee had nine points, Hank Nokes had seven and Alan Luna and Sawyer Meador each had six.

McMath girls vs. Navo

The McMath Lady Tigers evened their record at 3-3 with a 24-21 win over the Navo Lady Panthers.

Kendyle Hall led the scoring for McMath with 15 and Maggie Wainscott added seven.

The Navo “B” team rolled to a 34-10 win over McMath. Rylee Risdon, Victoria Armor and Julianna Brown each had three points for McMath (0-5).

Rodriguez boys d. Lake Dallas

The Rodriguez Vipers got off to a slow start but outscored Lake Dallas 47-23 over the final three quarters to take a 58-29 victory and improve to 6-0.

Robert Jones led the Vipers with 17 points, five rebounds and three assists, Dylan Smith had 13 points and four assists, Keegan Byrd had 10 points and four rebounds and Mark Nuby added nine points.

Myers girls d. Calhoun

Janiah Allen scored 31 points and had 13 steals to lead the Myers Lady Titans to a 49-2 victory over the Calhoun Lady Cougars.

Mercedes Burnett added 12 points, Jazlen Mitchell had six points, six steals and four assists and Arvi Johnson had 11 rebounds as Myers improved to 4-2.

Seventh grade

Crownover boys d. Strickland

The Crownover Cowboys rallied from a five-point halftime deficit to take a 44-38 victory over the Strickland Vikings to improve to 6-0.

Jayson Demcher and Chase Thomas led the Cowboys with 13 points apiece.

Hunter Howe scored 14 points and Jack Hickerson added nine as the Cowboys “B” team (4-2) defeated Strickland 42-9.

In the C-team game, Crownover coasted to a 22-2 victory as Keegan Kickpatrick and Jaylen Andrews had four points apiece.

Navo girls vs. McMath

The Navo Lady Panthers held off McMath for a 30-25 victory.

Harley Summers led the scoring for the Lady Tigers (0-6) with eight, and Ti’mya Johnson and Ceci Marroquin each had six points.

In the B-team game, McMath went scoreless in the first quarter but rallied for a 17-13 win over Navo. Nakeya Barr and Lilly Murphy led McMath (3-3) with four points apiece.

Navo boys d. McMath

The Navo Panthers jumped out to a double-digit first-quarter lead and had to turn back a McMath rally for a 39-31 victory.

Hayden Gunter led the McMath scoring with 14 while Matthew Pena finished with six.

Navo cruised to a 42-8 win in the B-team game and a 37-9 victory in the C-team contest.

Myers girls vs. Calhoun

The Myers Lady Titans held Calhoun scoreless in the first half en route to a 46-10 triumph.

Kennedy Evans led the Lady Titans (6-0) in scoring with 23, Amaya Willis had 11, Brooklyn Weier have five steals and Halli Keese had five rebounds and four steals.

Calhoun won the B-team game 19-17. Kaylee Cole led Myers with six points and Jayanna Minto added four.
