After two consecutive weeks of weather delays and cancellations at area football games, the potential for more bad weather Friday night has coaches and administrators adjusting their schedules in hopes of avoiding similar problems this week.

Lake Dallas was the first Denton-area school to move its game from Friday, and the Falcons now will face off against Princeton at 7 p.m. Thursday in District 7-5A (Division II) play. Braswell, Krum, Pilot Point, Aubrey, Sanger and Liberty Christian followed suit and will play their games Thursday night.

Braswell will host Frisco Memorial at C.H. Collins Athletic Complex at 7 p.m. Thursday, Krum will travel to Carrollton Ranchview at 7 p.m., Pilot Point will host Gunter at 7:30 p.m., Aubrey will host Pottsboro at 7:30 p.m., Sanger will travel to Mineral Wells at 7:30 p.m. and Liberty will travel to Plano Prestonwood at 7 p.m.

Ryan’s game against West Mesquite was already scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday and will be played at that time.

Ponder and Calvary are now the only area schools scheduled to play Friday night. Here is the updated local schedule:
