KyeRon Lindsay and Connor Newton poured in a combined 47 points to lead Guyer to a big win over Richardson Pearce, 85-58, on Tuesday night. Lindsay led Guyer (2-0) with 26 as the Wildcats outscored Pearce (0-1) by a combined 22 points in the second and fourth quarters to blow open the game.
Newton scored 21 and Jeremiah Green added 12 for Guyer. Collin Knapp scored eight and Jordan Lowery and John Godfrey each added six.
Guyer heads to the road on Friday to take on Keller.
Frisco Heritage 74, Ryan 62
FRISCO — In its season opener, Ryan fell on the road to Frisco Heritage 74-62 on Tuesday night.
Ryan (0-1) and Heritage (2-0) played to a 31-31 tie at the half as Ryan erased a five-point deficit after the first quarter. Heritage led by two after three quarters, but ran away with the game in the fourth with a 26-16 scoring advantage.
Christian Lawson led Ryan with 20 points, followed by Jalen Carter with 14 and Marcette Lawson with 13. Amarien Mohair added nine and Jordan Ware scored four in the setback.
Ryan heads back on the road Friday to take on Frisco.
