“I would like to thank Scott Head, Michael Young and Lake Dallas High School administration for providing the opportunity for my family to come to Lake Dallas and be a part of the Falcon baseball program,” Howard said in a statement. “Most of all, I would like to thank the young men in our program [who] are the reason for the success we have had.”

Howard, who had been with Lake Dallas since 2017, compiled a 56-45 record in three seasons at the helm. The Falcons made the playoffs each of the past two years.

“{span}{span}Ryan has been great for the program and the school district,” Head said. “He was part of our family. He did nothing but great things and built the program up. The kids loved him. We hate to see him go.”{/span}{/span}

{span}{span}Head said he has started fielding applications for Howard’s replacement. He said the goal is to hire a new coach as soon as possible.{/span}{/span}

{span}{span}”We’ve already started accepting resumes and I’m interviewing people this week,” Head said. “I’d like to get it done pretty quick so we can keep the continuity of our baseball program going.”{/span}{/span}
