A political casting of Road Runner

Starring as Road Runner, Donald J. Trump. Playing the part of Wile E. Coyote is Jim Nadler with his sidekicks Elijah Cummings and Adam Schiff with their supporting cast: James Comey, Rod Rosenstein, Andrew McCabe, Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, using all of the powers of the FBI. Nine highly political lawyers who spent $35 million on an investigation named after Robert Mueller (who did not have a clue as to what was in the report).

Other supporting cast included many Department of State officials: James Clapper, John Brennan, Susan Rice along with Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer from Congress and others. Looks like Road Runner is out ahead so far, and many of the cast may be looking at jail time.

History is being written

The past several days has left this country with no doubt that Donald J. Trump cannot play or exist in the moral or spiritual arena, as he is neither moral nor spiritual.

Even when two cities are in a period of deep mourning, he had to make the issue all about himself. We can see the obvious — he is a white supremist and racist. It is a sad day in American life when presidential aides must plan a trip so that the president of our country must remain behind closed doors and cannot be trusted to face the public in an effort to comfort a grieving nation. His aides recognize that he does not possess the social skills or abilities to show any degree of genuine empathy for what has transpired.

He will be held accountable for tearing this nation apart while sending the strong signals that enable the dark forces of our country to be emboldened to carry out acts of terror on innocent citizens going about their daily lives. This will be his legacy. And we will also remember those in our city and state who have supported him every step of the way.

The stigma of this deranged support will be their mantel now and for generations to come. The history of this period is being written today, and one can surmise that it will not be one on which we will look with pride.
