A new housing community on the way in Denton County will add more than 400 single-family homes.
Meritage Homes has purchased land in Corinth for its Ashford Park residential project.
Construction is set to start later this year on the development, which will include 208 two-story bungalows and 229 one-story homes.
The new homes will be priced from the high $200,000s.
“At Ashford Park, we will offer affordable single-family homes with a simpler home buying process, quality construction and energy efficiency built into each home,” Meritage Homes Dallas division president Austin Woffinden said in a statement. “Building on our success in the thriving city of Corinth, Ashford Park will sit adjacent to a previous Meritage development, Terrace Oaks.”
The 82-acre Ashford Park community will be constructed off Lake Sharon Drive west of Interstate 35E and Lewisville Lake.
The new home project will include a community center with pool and playground, hike-and-bike trails and open space. Home sales will start in early 2023.
Meritage Homes builds in more than 20 communities in North Texas. The Arizona-based company builds in Arizona, California, Colorado, Texas, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
