Slow, rainy drive

Northbound traffic on Interstate 35 near the Krum exit was slow going Thursday afternoon because of the steady rain that fell most of the day. As of 4 p.m. Thursday, just over a half-inch of rain was recorded at Denton Enterprise Airport. The rain will continue through Friday night, according to the National Weather Service, with areas of patchy fog throughout the day and evening. Chances of rain are at 90% during the day Friday and 80% Friday night. Sunny skies are set to return Saturday and will continue into Monday’s Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. High temperatures will range from 55 degrees Saturday to 48 on Monday, with lows in the lower to mid-30s.
