The Texas Department of Transportation will host a public meeting from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Denton Convention Center, 3100 Town Center Trail, to discuss improvements to FM1515 between Masch Branch Road and Bonnie Brae Street.
Representatives from TxDOT and the project team will be available to answer questions about the 2.1-mile project.
Proposed improvements include:
- Constructing two 12-foot-wide inside travel lanes and one 14-foot outside shared-use path with raised median and curb and gutter in each direction on FM1515.
- Constructing sidewalks in each direction on FM1515.
- Replacing the existing bridges over Dry Fork Hick Creek, the Kansas City Southern Railroad and Interstate 35W.
- Constructing left-turn lanes and a roundabout at FM1515 and Masch Branch.
This is the first opportunity for public input on the estimated $40 million project.
