Refuge for Women North Texas will bring back its sex trafficking awareness panel at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 20, at Liberty Christian School, 1301 S. U.S. Highway 377 in Argyle.
The upcoming panel delves into the human trafficking phenomenon, which exposes children and adults into forced sex work. Panel guests include Sandy Storm, author, speaker and survivor; Dennis Ozment, a private investigator, executive director of 4theOne and chairman of C7 Human Trafficking Coalition; Department of Homeland Security employee John Kochan; Christine Manos, program director of Refuge for Women North Texas’ Long-Term Healing Program for the Sexually Exploited; Emily Chavez, director of case management for Valiant Hearts Outreach/Crisis Response for the Sexually Exploited, and Sgt. Bill Haddon, a member of the Collin County Human Trafficking Task Force.
Attendees are invited to ask questions of the panel members at the event.
