Denton County Friends of the Family is opening its new Hope Center in the Savannah area that will provide client services from play therapy for children to counseling.
The center, located at 732 Savannah Blvd., will have a grand-opening celebration from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday. There will be live music, wine tastings and snacks at the event, as well as a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Aubrey 380 Area Chamber of Commerce.
The center will provide services similar to what's available at Friends of the Family's outreach center in Corinth and will help serve the hundreds of clients who live along the U.S. 380 Corridor.
Friends of the Family is a nonprofit that provides comprehensive services to victims of rape, sexual abuse and domestic violence.
