Both Texas Woman's University and the University of North Texas have new student regents to serve on the school's governing boards.
Appointed by Gov. Greg Abbott, one student from each public university system is elected to serve as a nonvoting member of the board.
Lexi D'Abrosca, an undergraduate student at TWU, will serve on the TWU Board of Regents. She's a kinesiology major and pursuing a minor in government from the honors college.
Alexandra Harrel, a master's student studying higher education student affairs, will serve as the student regent on the UNT Board of Regents.
D'Abrosca and Harrel's terms begin Saturday and will expire May 31, 2020.
