About 50 works of art from students at Ryan High School will be on display in local State Farm agent Jimmy Baker’s office starting Monday, according to a news release. The inaugural exhibit's theme is “Celebrating Denton” to celebrate the city's rich culture and history.
“While the students display their talents to hundreds of people, they are also highlighting what they love about their city,” Baker said in the release.
Students have the chance to win cash prizes based on the number of votes each piece receives. Voting continues through Feb. 15 online at www.facebook.com/JimmyBakerStateFarmAgent and at Baker's office at 3305 S. Mayhill Road, Suite 119, which is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The top three works with the most votes will win cash prizes of $250, $150 and $50, respectively, the release said.
