Egg hunts & spring activities

Thursday

7:45 to 8:30 p.m. — Teen Twilight Easter Egg Hunt at Denia Recreation Center, 1001 Parvin St. Teens must bring a flashlight. Includes door prizes. Check in early at Denia, and the hunt begins at sundown. For ages 11-16. Free.

Saturday

9 to 10 a.m. — Easter egg hunt at Trinity United Methodist Church, 633 Hobson Lane

9:30 a.m. to noon — Easter Eggstravaganza and Egg Hunt at Denton Civic Center, 321 E. McKinney St. Features free carnival games, inflatables, a magic show, crafts and more than 30,000 eggs. Egg hunt rolls out at 11:30 a.m. at Quakertown Park, where the fields will be divided by age groups — infant to 2 years old, age 3, age 4, age 5 through kindergarten, grades 1-2 and grades 3-5. The Easter Bunny will attend for free pictures (just bring your cellphone or camera).

10 a.m. — Community Easter Egg Hunt at First Christian Church of Denton, 1203 Fulton St.

10 to 11:30 a.m. — Denton Community Church Easter egg and scavenger hunt at the large pavilion at North Lakes Park, 2001 W. Windsor Drive. For children up to age 12. Younger children hunt for eggs and older children do a scavenger hunt. Activities start after a short presentation about the meaning of Easter. Refreshments will be served.

10:30 a.m. — Easter egg hunt at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 1424 Stuart Road. For infants through 11-year-olds. More than 2,500 eggs, prize baskets and refreshments. Free.

Noon to 2 p.m. — Pictures with the Easter Bunny at Golden Boy Coffee, 1803 Elm St. Get a photo with the Easter bunny for a $5 donation, benefiting North Texas Roller Derby.

1:30 to 3:30 p.m. — Cross Timbers Community Church Easter Egg Hunt at the Argyle campus, 1119 S. U.S. Highway 377. Includes free food, bounce houses, petting zoo, obstacle course, ice cream trucks, DJ, games and more. Hang around after for the church's first Easter service at 4 p.m.

Sunday

10:30 a.m. — Easter egg hunt at Denton Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 1111 Cordell St.

11:15 a.m. — Easter egg hunt at St. David of Wales Episcopal Church, 623 Ector St.

1 p.m. — Easter egg bike hunt with Oak Street Drafthouse, 308 E. Oak St. Each stop on this adult bike ride will have hidden Easter eggs filled with cash, shirts, sunglasses, beer coupons, koozies and gift cards. Must wear a helmet and sign a waiver.

2 to 6 p.m. — The Backyard Market at East(er) Side. Local makers and artists showcase their wares to purchase at East Side Denton, 117 E. Oak St.
