The Denton Community Market closed out its 13th season Saturday in Downtown Denton. The event included about 50 vendors and a performance of Christmas carols by Vocal Magic. Santa Claus also made an appearance and was available for photos.
Rain didn’t dissuade some visitors from enjoying the Denton Community Market on Saturday morning. The holiday-themed event included Christmas carols from Vocal Magic and families taking photos with Santa Claus. Founded in 2009, the event is a nonprofit producer-only farmers and art market that runs from April through November. Eighty-five vendors were scheduled to showcase their wares Saturday, but about 50 showed up, probably due to the rain that morning, according to market operations coordinator Andi Torres.
