The Denton County Transportation Authority board of directors last week approved a two-year extension in its employment contract with Raymond Suarez, the agency’s president.
Thursday's vote followed several months of delays in reviewing his contract, which originally ran through September 2021. The agreement also increases the payout for an early termination to nine months’ pay.
Suarez has been leading DCTA since September 2018. His base pay is $250,000 annually.
