A Sunday night vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 380 near Geesling Road has injured a pedestrian and shut down the westbound lanes of the highway, according to the Denton Police Department.
The department announced the lane shutdowns shortly after 8 p.m. Denton police spokesperson Bryan Cose said a vehicle struck a pedestrian during the crash. The pedestrian was walking on the roadway, he said, and was injured and transported to a local hospital alive.
Cose said the extent of the person's injuries are unknown as an investigation continues at the scene of the crash. He said the westbound lanes would likely remain shut down for two to three hours.
