A mother called police Monday morning and said two men followed her 11-year-old son near the McKinney Park Apartments in the 100 block of Duchess Drive, according to a police report.
The boy said two men showed up at his home and attempted to grab him, at which point he took off running, according to the report. He called his mom after the men began following him, and she picked him up.
The incident was reported at about 3:40 a.m. Monday.
Officers located the suspect vehicle, described as a tan truck, but officers did not find the suspects, the reports shows.
4000 block of Interstate 35 — A man found his Ford F-350 with its locks busted at a gas station Monday evening, according to a police report.
He had reported it stolen earlier that day at about 3 a.m., the report shows.
Two toolboxes were missing from the vehicle, the report shows, and the vehicle would not start.
1800 block of South Loop 288 — A Best Buy employee called police Monday night after a man allegedly stole three iPhones and a pair of headphones and ran out of the store, according to a police report. The stolen items were worth more than $2,800.
500 block of West University Drive — A man told police Monday morning that $1,300 was missing from his vehicle after it was serviced at a tire and auto repair shop.
1500 block of South Loop 288 — A woman shopping at Walmart on Monday night reported her fanny pack containing car keys and credit cards stolen after she went to check out and it was no longer with her, according to a police report.
Police said they would review security footage at the store.

- The Denton Police Department handled 184 service and officer-initiated calls and made eight arrests.
- Denton firefighters responded to 28 medical calls and six vehicle crashes.
