The results of the midterm elections are official.

On Monday morning, Denton County commissioners canvassed the Nov. 6 election, making the results of the election official for public records.

Texas law requires that a county’s election administrator certify the vote counts and they be canvassed by commissioners. Record of the canvass is thereafter sent to the Texas secretary of state.

County officials had until Tuesday to canvass the election.
