The Trinity Forks Chapter of the Native Plant Society of Texas will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, when Cindy Kearney will present a program titled "Natives for the Shade."

Many Texas gardeners find it difficult to design for shady areas. This presentation will give attendees a starter palette of plants to bring color to shady spots.

Kearney joined the Native Plant Society of Texas in 2010 and has served on the Dallas board for the last four years. She is the current chapter president.

The 7 p.m. meeting is free and will be in Room 259 of the Texas Woman's University Ann Stuart Science Complex. Social time in the lobby begins at 6:30 p.m. Because of nearby construction, check the campus map on the TWU website at https://bit.ly/2Y5xiR1 for free parking options.
