The Denton County health department will offer free HIV testing Thursday at its clinics in Denton, 535 S. Loop 288, Suite 1003, and Lewisville, 190 N. Valley Parkway.

Individuals can walk in between 8 to 11:30 a.m. or 1 to 4:30 p.m. for a quick finger-prick test to find out whether they have HIV. Individuals will learn more about the risks of HIV transmission and safe sex practices.

The testing is being offered as part of National HIV Testing Day. To find additional National HIV Testing Day event locations, visit npin.cdc.gov/nhtd.
