Dan Black — whose bright, kinetic murals dot downtown Denton — painted a mural in 2019 on the side of a now-closed business, depicting lifelong Denton residents Betty Kimble, Ruby Cole, Alice Alexander, Alma Clark and Dorothy Minter, with the words “Foundation of Our History.” The artist, shown Tuesday afternoon, has been repainting the mural on the railroad bridge on Robertson Street at Bell Avenue, a gateway to Southeast Denton.
