Stag sighting

This white fallow deer was seen along Old Alton Road recently by Denton resident Mark Whatley. The fallow deer are native to the Mediterranean countries of Europe and North Africa and are the most widely kept of the world’s deer. They have been introduced to all inhabited continents, according to The Mammal of Texas — Online Edition. The fallow deer have been introduced to 93 counties, primarily in the central part of the state. This species of of deer has four varieties of colors, including white.
