Cirque Italia, the “water circus of Italy,” sails into Denton next week, April 4-7, at the North Texas Fairgrounds, 2217 N. Carroll Blvd.

The traveling water circus transforms its tent into a water stage with Vegas-style fountains. Contortionists twist, aerialists soar, stylish archery sends arrows through space and a wheel of death builds suspense in the European-style circus.


Contoritionist Sandy Giannuzzi is shown performing with Cirque Italia, a traditional Italian water circus. The traveling company will perform in Denton April 4-7 at the North Texas Fairgrounds.

Cirque Italia doesn’t use animals in any of its acts.

Performances are slated for 7:30 p.m. April 4-6, 1:30 p.m. April 6-7 and 4:30 p.m. April 6-7.
