Denton’s school and community reuse project has a summer full of adult workshops.

SCRAP Denton, the local nonprofit that sells donated office and craft supplies, will offer workshops that teach adult techniques and skills in fiber arts, painting and papercraft.

The workshops will be at 2 p.m. Sundays at the nonprofit’s storefront at 420 S. Bell Ave. The classes are:

  • June 9: Sew a Reusable Shopping Bag (bring your own sewing machine) — $20
  • June 16: Crocheting With Plarn (plastic yarn) — $15
  • June 23: Do It Yourself Zines — $15
  • July 7: Pour Painting — $15
  • July 21: Accordion Book Making — $15
  • July 28: Weaving 101 — $25
  • Aug. 4: Upcycled Paper Making — $17
  • Aug. 11: Free art journal meeting — free
  • Aug. 18: Art Journals from Repurposed Books — $15
  • Aug. 25: Intermediate Weaving by Jenna Dunlap (registration not yet available online)
  • Sept. 1: Bookmaking with Upcycled Materials — $18
  • Sept. 15: Crochet 101: Make a Reusable Washcloth — $20
  • Sept. 29: Cork Pumpkin Decorations (registration not yet available online)
