The Sanger school board will hold a special session Wednesday evening to review applications for the vacant superintendent's role.
Kent Crutsinger, who previously retired as the district's superintendent, is currently serving as acting superintendent following the dismissal of Sandra McCoy-Jackson on Jan. 30.
No official reason has been given for her dismissal, and her salary was paid through the end of her contract.
According to a district timeline for the hiring process, a finalist for the job won't be named until early May, and a decision won't be made until May 30.
Wednesday's meeting will take place at 5 p.m. in the Denton County Special Education Cooperative building at 601 Elm St. in Sanger.
