With a $750,000 grant from the Office of Naval Research, the University of North Texas College of Engineering will spend the next three years working to create new materials, manufacturing and electronics.
The research and educational initiatives will focus on miniaturized systems like sensors and actuators for radio frequency applications. The research will be in partnership with professors, students and U.S. Naval research labs and facilities.
Anupama Kaul, professor and director of the PACCAR Technology Institute, is the principal investigator for the grant.
Through the partnership with the U.S. Naval Research labs, students will be able to learn more about STEM careers in the U.S. Navy.
