Rosalie Mainous, the director of academic nursing development at the American Association of Colleges of Nursing, will be the next dean of the Texas Woman's University College of Nursing.
Mainous will replace outgoing dean Anita Hufft, who is retiring at the end of July. Mainous will start in the position Aug. 5.
In addition to her current position, Mainous has spent more than 30 years in nursing education and was previously a dean and professor at Wright State University in Ohio.
She serves on the National Academy of Medicine's action collaborative on countering the opioid epidemic and is also a fellow in the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the American Academy of Nursing.
