North Central Texas College will host the 2019 Teaching History Conference on the University of North Texas campus this fall.
The conference theme this year is "New Approaches to Old Topics: Anarchists and Assassins," and will look at social and political turmoil from a broad perspective. It's designed for middle and high school history teachers as well as professors and scholars.
There will be sessions in local to global history, while representatives from several museums will inform attendees about their offerings. Those attending the conference will earn continuing education credits.
The event, which includes breakfast and lunch, will be held at the UNT Gateway Center from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21. Early registration costs $45.
