Kari Abrams and Brett Dobbs were named to new positions within Aubrey ISD during Tuesday evening's board meeting. Abrams will be the first principal of Fuller Elementary School, which will open in 2020, and Dobbs will take over as assistant principal of Monaco Middle School.

Kari Abrams and Brett Dobbs will take over as administrators in Aubrey ISD following a Tuesday announcement.

Abrams, who has worked as principal of Brockett Elementary School for the past two years, will serve as the first principal of Fuller Elementary School when it opens for the 2020-21 school year.

The coming school year is intended as a transitional period as her current position is filled and preparations for the new elementary come to a close.

Following 17 years of teaching in Oklahoma schools, Dobbs taught eighth-grade English at Aubrey Middle School for the past four years. He will replace Dusty Wright as assistant principal of Monaco Elementary School.

Wright previously accepted another administrative position in the district as a student support coordinator.

Abrams and Dobbs were confirmed by a unanimous vote of the Aubrey school board during a special session on Tuesday evening.
