Denton County Public Health Monday confirmed another four locals’ deaths were caused by COVID-19.
The department released the following information about the deceased:
- One Cross Roads man in his 40s
- One woman in her 40s who lived in northeast unincorporated Denton County
- One Lewisville man in his 50s

Confirmation of their deaths raised the countywide total to 721.
DCPH conducts an investigation into each suspected COVID-19 death, so confirmation of such deaths often lag.
The Texas Department of State Health Services, which DCPH officials maintain has a less rigorous death investigation process, had reported 1,014 COVID-19 deaths in Denton County by Monday afternoon.
Data included in the chart below is from Denton County Public Health, which estimated 10,637 county residents were still actively infected with the coronavirus Monday. Data for the rolling average chart below comes from DCPH and an analysis from the Denton Record-Chronicle.
