Stonehill Center shopping plaza has been renamed to Presidio Plaza, ownership confirmed Wednesday.
The change took place in late 2020 after some exterior upgrades to the plaza and the addition of a new building which now houses Workforce Solutions for North Central Texas.
The building was the fifth in the 166,225-square-foot shopping center, located at 5800 N Interstate 35. Construction began on the 30,000-square-foot space in summer 2020, with Workforce Solutions moving into the building in July 2021.
The center also received a fresh coat of paint ahead of the new year. The former Stonehill Center was built in 1992 as an outlet mall but has functioned as a retail and office center for several years. Operated by NorthBridge Management, the plaza also houses retail businesses including Rose Costumes, The Antique Gallery and The Antique Experience.
