Alamo Drafthouse

Alamo Drafthouse's Denton location will tentatively reopen Sept. 10, according to an update posted on the cinema's website Thursday.

The theater was originally slated to come back online in July, but along with several other Dallas-Fort Worth locations, the opening was postponed on June 16.

Denton's Alamo closed in March 2020 and tried to briefly reopen in August before shuttering again to consolidate operations amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The franchise location is independently owned by father and son Bill C. DiGaetano and Bill D. DiGaetano, who also operate Alamo theaters in Dallas and Tarrant counties, along with one in Minnesota.
