Fort Worth coffee roaster Avoca opened its long-anticipated Denton location Wednesday.
The coffee shop was originally expected to open at 510 Fort Worth Drive, Suite 150 over the summer. Avoca specializes in artisanal in-house micro roasts, which top its regular menu alongside pastries and signature drinks such as the Chupacabra.
The 2,700-sqaure-foot Denton shop and drive-thru is Avoca's fourth and the first outside of Fort Worth, owner Craig Morgan told the Denton Record-Chronicle in June. The company was founded in 2011 by Garold LaRue and Jimmy Story.
Avoca held a soft opening Wednesday. The coffee shop will be open 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Christmas Eve, and closed Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Regular business hours will be 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
