Lawrence Francis Blais
Fort Worth - Lawrence Francis Blais, 88, loving husband, father, brother and grandfather, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, August 2, 2008.
Memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 6, 2008, at Trinity Bible Church in Willow Park.
Larry was born March 17, 1920, in West Stewartstown, N.H., to Ruth and Lawrence Blais. A World War II veteran of the Army Air Corps, Larry retired from the U.S. Air Force with the rank of colonel after 30 years of service. Larry then obtained a law degree from SMU and served the past 28 years as associate judge of family law in Tarrant County.
Larry's work was his ministry; he emphasized the child's interests in domestic cases.
Survivors include his wife, Ava; his daughter, Lauren; sons, Curtis and Larry; grandchildren, Marcus, Kristopher, Lin Roden, Michael and Debbie; three great-grandchildren; and sisters, Audrey Bassett and Virginia Haley.

Chris “PAPU” Padron
Chris “PAPU” Padron, age 73, and a resident of Corinth, TX, was born on November 10, 1934 in Jayton, TX and passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2008 in Denton, TX.
Beloved husband, father and “Papu”, our precious gift in life has been called home to serve the Lord. He was a loving and gentle man who cherished and loved his wife for over 50 plus years. He adored life and held his family and friends very dear to his heart. He had a passion for Golf, sharing it with his sons and grandchildren, ultimately passing his love for the game on to them. Restaurant entrepreneur for many years with the latest being in Lake Dallas, “Chilitos” where every customer is treated like family. He believed in and lived “Mi Casa Es Su Casa”. Papu will be dearly missed by his wife, family and all who have had the privilege of ever knowing him.
Dad your smile and abounding words of wisdom will live and burn strong in our hearts forever. Psalm 61:2 “From the end of the earth I will cry to you, when my heart is overwhelmed; lead me to the rock that is higher than I.”
He is survived by his wife, Jesusa “Toni” Padron; daughter, Virginia Hurrelbrink, daughter, Becky Lee Padron, son, Bruce Anthony Padron and his wife, Julie Ann, daughter, Susan Padron, son, Eugene Padron, and son, Benito Padron Gomez and his wife, Liz. Chris is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, twelve boys and three girls; one great-grandchild; five sisters, Mary Lou Garcia, Irene Padron, Anita Montoya, Esther Padron and Annette Noisatt; and one brother, Nick Padron.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Crystal and Susie Padron; his sister, Nellie Padron Gomez; and brother, Richard Padron.
Family visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2008 from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. at Flower Mound Family Funeral Home with the funeral service starting at 7 p.m. in the Flower Mound Funeral Chapel.

Evans “Jack” Wagner
Evans “Jack” Wagner, 66, of Sanger died Saturday Aug. 2, 2008 at Presbyterian Hospital of Denton.
Wagner was born July 17,1942 in Center Point, Ark. to George and Ola Edna (Evans) Wagner. He married Harlette Mitchell on Oct. 27, 1961 in Dierks, Ark. Wagner was a member of the Holly Creek Missionary Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge, both in Dierks. He retired from Denton County after working 19 years as a road superintendent. Wagner loved fishing.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2008 at the chapel of Clement-Keel Funeral Home, 1204 E. California St., Gainesville. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home on Monday, Aug. 4, 2008.
Survivors include his wife Harlette Wagner of Sanger; son, Gary Wagner of Whitesboro; daughter and son-in-law Deena and Brad Hughes of Dierks; sisters and brother-in-law Sarah McKenzie of Callisburg and Wanda and Arnold McBride of Dierks; grandchildren Eric Janes, Chad Janes and Jordan Hughes, all of Dierks; three nieces and three nephews. Wagner was preceded in death by his parents.
Jack E. Daniels
Jack E. Daniels, 55, of Denton passed away Friday, August 1, 2008 while on assignment in Ruidoso, NM. He was born July 2, 1953 in Dallas to Dr. Gilbert Harris Daniels and Lucille White Daniels. He graduated from Gilmer High School and received two degrees from the University of North Texas. He married Linda Bush on November 28, 1981. He was an Individual Disaster Specialist at FEMA for 19 years and a member of First Baptist Church of Denton.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 5, 2008 from 6 – 8 p.m. at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Funeral service will be Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Denton with Rev. Cliff Feeler officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Gay Leake, Dean Brewer, Cleo Roehrman, Lynn Steen, Bill Curry and Roy Floyd.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Daniels of Denton; daughters, Stephanie Daniels, 18 and Lora Daniels, 23 both of Denton. He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
