Cold front on its way to Dallas; rain possible
05:57 PM CDT on Thursday, August 7, 2008
A cold front is expected to move through North Texas this evening, bringing cooler temperatures and a slight chance of thunderstorms.
The mercury bubbled to 102 at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport today, but the temperatures are expected to drop into the low 70s tonight, said Tara Dudzik, a National Weather Service meteorologist.
There is a 30 percent chance of isolated storms from midnight through Friday morning.
The cold front should keep temperatures below the triple-digit mark Friday, Ms. Dudzik said. A few spots could still see 100-degree weather.
