Expect weekend lane closures, detours on I-30 in Arlington
06:47 PM CDT on Thursday, August 7, 2008
Driving on Interstate 30 will likely be slow in Arlington this weekend, as traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction at the Collins Street Bridge in Arlington.
The lane closure will begin Friday at 7 p.m. and reopened at 8 p.m. Sunday.
Motorists using the lanes that remain open will be detoured at Collins Street.
Drivers headed east will be sent to Copeland Road and back on I-30 east of Ballpark Way, transportation officials said. Westbound traffic on I-30 will be detoured onto the Collins Street exit ramp and then on to the westbound I-30 entrance ramp.
Information on this project and others can be found at www.keep30moving.org.
